Dein Betriebssystem ist aber mausetot und muss neuinsttalliert werden.

Nein.
Deswegen: Auf dem Alt-System den ioBroker auf den aktuellstmöglichen Stand bringen (nodejs@18 auf dem ollen Buster), davon ein Backup ziehen, das aktuelle RaspberryOS 12 'Bookworm' installieren, ioBroker installieren, Backup einspielen, fertig.

Vielen Dank erstmal für deinen Support.

Ein Backup ziehe ich mir zum Glück täglich auf meine NAS. Dann werde ich das mal neu aufsetzen. Ist es ratsam nach 5 Jahren gleich eine neue SD Karte zu benutzen?

Ja. Hat auch den Vorteil, das du das Alt-System nicht löschen musst.

Da bringt dir aber nur bedingt was, wenn das z. B. so altes Zeug ist, das nicht mal eben so auf dem neuen System (mit neuem js-controller z.B.) einfach so einzuspielen ist.
Deswegen fährt man das so nah wie möglich an das aktuelle System heran.

nimm eine neue Karte!
installier da das aktuelle raspberrypi OS Bookworm lite drauf
installiete da iobroker drauf
dann stell das Backup wieder her

fertig!

In regelmäßigen Abständen mal drauf schauen. ioBroker sagt Dir schon, wenn Updates vorliegen.

Und bei Updates für das OS:

Noch eine kurze Rückmeldung von mit, das System läuft soweit wieder.
