Aber das hier ist der Tread zu deinem Image, da hab ich mich (bisher noch) mit der Selbstinstallation zurückgehalten.

@andre Danke - das war die Lösung. Ich hatte auch mit dem Imager gearbeitet und einen Benutzer vergeben.
Typisch Anfängerfehler - mir war nicht klar, dass ich den jetzt verwenden muss und nicht PI.
Habe mich angemeldet - geht soweit. Mal schauen wie weit ich komme.

Ich habe das Image :
2023-12-08_RaspberryOS_ioBroker_Image_v2.0.0-beta.1.zip
mit dem PI Imager verwendet und dabei Benutzer und Kennwort geändert. -

Gibt es hier schon jemanden, der das Image mit WLAN zum Laufen gebracht hat?
Bei mir ist es so, dass sich das Standard-Image (Raspberry OS Lite 64bit -Bookworm) ohne Probleme verbindet, nehme ich die identischen Einstellungen aus dem RasPi Imager und wende sie auf das ioB Image an, so wird keine WLAN Verbindung hergestellt. Erst wenn ich mich an der Konsole (mit Tastatur/Bildschirm) anmelde und per
raspi-config
die WLAN Daten erneut eingebe, wird die Verbindung aufgebaut und alles weitere läuft nach Plan.Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass auch die Probleme von @ps-neotrace damit zusammenhängen, auch wenn er nicht explizit von WLAN gesprochen hat.

Hallo ioBroker Community,
aus persönlichen Gründen habe ich mich dazu entschieden zukünftig keine weitere Energie in das Raspberry Pi Image zu stecken.
Mein Plan ist derzeit noch die v2 mit einem entsprechenden Hinweis zu releasen und dann die Weiterentwicklung und automatische Bereitstellung des Images einzustellen.Falls es jemand gibt, der die nötige Energie und Zeit aufbringen kann das Raspberry Image und den automatischen Bereitstellungsprozess zu betreuen (und ggf. auch zu hosten), kann er oder sie sich gerne direkt bei mir melden. Ich würde dann versuchen mein Wissen und meine Erfahrungen entsprechend zu "transferieren".
Andernfalls empfehle ich die Verwendung des offiziellen Raspberry Pi OS und die manuelle Installation von ioBroker wie in der Doku beschrieben.

@michihorn Ich finde es eher positiv. So ein fertiges Image bekommt wohl jeder installiert. Nur hat er sich mit der Materie (Linux-Grundkenntnisse und Terminal) dann in keinster Weise mal beschäftigen müssen.
Wer das aktuelle Image für den Raspberry installiert und dann den iobroker per Einzeiler, der hat wenigstens einmal ein Terminal offen gehabt und gemerkt, dass das nicht zubeisst. Vielleicht sorgt das ja dafür, dass manche öfter mal ein Terminal aufmachen und Updates einspielen und keine Systeme vor sich her schieben, die jahrelang nicht angefasst wurden.Gruss, Jürgen

@wildbill So wie ich Andre verstanden habe, ging es um viel mehr, nähmlich ein fertiges Image das ähnlich wie HA bei Raspberry gelistet wird. Hätte sich sicher auch für die Verbreitung von Iobroker gut gemacht.

@michihorn Und was ändert das an meiner Aussage, dass es wohl viel besser ist, wenn jemand das normale Raspberry Image installiert und dann selbst iobroker? Man liest hier doch jeden Tag, was rauskommt, wenn jemand denkt, es ist so einfach mit iobroker, wenn man was Fertiges nimmt und dann eben bei den kleinsten Dingen nichts mehr geht. Sei es Docker oder seien es fertige Images, wie sie ja auch hier mal angeboten wurden. Davon gibt es wohl immer noch so einige, die seither laufen, nie angefasst wurden und es melden sich immer wieder Hilfesuchende, dass irgendwas nicht mehr geht und es stellt sich raus, dass sie noch mit Buster oder gar stretch unterwegs sind, weil sie irgendwann was Fertiges verwendet haben oder es jemand für sie eingerichtet hatte. Das hilft doch niemand. Dann lieber die Interessierten „zwingen“ sich wenigstens kurz und etwas mit der Materie zu befassen. Wenn das schon zu viel ist, dann ist iobroker für denjenigen wohl nicht geeignet. Meine einfache persönliche Meinung.

Ich kenne die Haltung die hier immer und immer wieder von unseren "Super-Administratoren" im Forum gepredigt wird schon seit ich 2017 ioBroker auf die Synology DiskStation gebracht habe. Es sind immer die gleichen Argumente, eben jene, die @Wildbill hier auch wieder zum Besten gibt.
Ich gehe da persönlich nicht mit und meine Energie, daran mitzuwirken ioBroker einer breiteren Masse zugänglich zu machen und die Sichtbarkeit zu erhöhen ist aufgebraucht. Ich habe mir die Entscheidung sicher nicht leicht gemacht, aber ich sehe seit einiger Zeit in diesen Kategorien keinen Fortschritt mehr. Unsere Mitbewerber haben uns da längst abgehängt... Onboarding, UI, Wartung des Systems. Das sind mittlerweile Welten.MfG,

ich habe ja früher die Images für alle möglichen SBCs händisch gebaut, bis irgendwann von irgendjemandem beschlossen wurde, dass man sie nicht benötigt.
Es sind definitiv nicht die Super-Administratoren gewesen!
Allerdings wurde zeitgleich der Installer dermaßen vereinfacht dass selbst ich keinen Unterschied mehr im Aufwand sah, ob ich jetzt ein OS nach meinem Gusto installiere und darauf den Einzeler loslasse, oder ob ich das Image auf die Karte schreibe und noch anpasse.

Die Formulierung von @Wildbill ist vielleicht unglücklich, aber ein Komplettsystem zu erstellen, das sich in allen Ebenen vollautomatisch aktuell hält wird hier wohl niemand aus dem Ärmel schütteln. Ist ja alles richtig. Ich fände es trotzdem sinnvoll, die Einstiegshürden so weit wie möglich zu senken. "Zwang" ist der falsche Weg.

Allerdings wurde zeitgleich der Installer dermaßen vereinfacht dass selbst ich keinen Unterschied mehr im Aufwand sah, ob ich jetzt ein OS nach meinem Gusto installiere und darauf den Einzeler loslasse, oder ob ich das Image auf die Karte schreibe und noch anpasse.
Bei diesem Argument wird aber immer vergessen, dass beim Raspberry Image nicht nur ioBroker installiert wurde, sondern auch weitere Optimierungen zum headless Betrieb eingebracht wurden.

"Vollautomatisch"??? Das ist nicht der Anspruch. Aber wir können schon Adapter und js-controller aus der UI updaten, Linux Pakete sind meines wissens in der Mache. Für nodejs gibt es bereit ein script. Also weit wäre es nicht mehr...

Verstehe ich nicht/ Überhaupt nicht notwendig. Adapter kann man über die UI istallieren....

auch davon weiss ich nichts, das ist nämlich der Auslöser zu oben gesagtem.
Wennn die User, die noch mit node10 und/oder stretch unterwegs sind aus allen Wolken fallen, dass ihr Fundament so veraltet ist, obwohl sie regelmäßig ihre Adapter updaten, kommt genau der Satz, dass alles was nicht sichtbar ist auch unsichtbar gepflegt werden muss.Aber lass gut sein. Ich weiss, dass du da viel Herzblut reingesteckt hast um es Einsteigern zu erleichtern, aber leider stimmt auch Die andere Seite, dass sich damit Probleme geschaffen werden, wenn der User sich nicht mehr selber mit dem System auseinander setzt.

Da habe ich mit meienr Aussage ja was angerichtet, inklusive einiger Downvotes.
Egal, ich steht drüber. Das Wort zwingen habe ich absichtlich in Anführungszeichen gesetzt, da ich davon ausging, dass man dann erkennt, dass ich da keinen wirklichen Zwang sehe, sondern eben das, was man eh machen muss. Wer es schafft, ein fertiges iobroker-Image zu installieren, der schafft es sicher auch, das fertige Raspberry-Image zu installieren. Nur, zu iobroker (und generell allen Systemen) gehört halt etwas mehr als die bloße Installation. Und, da bleibe ich bei meiner Meinung: Wem es dann nach Installation des Raspi-Image wirklich schon zu viel oder schwierig ist, iobroker mittels dieses einen Befehls zu installieren, tja, der soll es bitte wirklich lassen. Das hat mit hohem Ross nix zu tun. Aber derjenige gehört dann vermutlich zu denen, die wirklich alles versumpfen lassen würden bis nix mehr geht und dann hier im Forum verzweifelt aufschlagen und vielleicht noch pöbeln, was das doch für ein Mist sei, wie es schon vorkam. Und dass man ja gezwungen wird, sich sein (vor Jahren) 100% lauffähiges System kaputtzuupdaten und man doch nie ein funktionsfähiges System anfasse (Never change...).
Ist es wirklich Anspruch von iobroker dass möglichst jeder sich iobroker installieren kann, ohne sich wenigstens in Grundzügen mit dem System zu beschäftigen?
Ich habe parallel auch Homeassistant laufen. Da macst Du parktisch gar nix auf der Kommandozeile, Udates werden (zumindest bei Installation als VM unter Proxmox) direkt über die GUI eingespielt. Ja, das bekäme vermutlich jeder hin, aber spätestens wenn mal was klemmt, dann eben doch nicht mehr.
Ich meine nach wie vor: Man muss nicht jedem alles auf dem Silbertablett servieren. Wer etwas (iobroker) will, der wird es ohne großen Aufwand auch bekommen. Und wem der Aufwand (der eigentlich keiner ist) schon zu viel ist, der würde auch mit einem Fix-und-Fertig-Image nicht dauerhaft glücklich, wenn irgendwann nix mehr geht und man gar nicht weiss warum und wo man ansetzen sollte.Gruss, Jürgen
EDIT: Ich habe meinen „Rache-Downvote“ entfernt und ich bedanke mich ausdrücklich auch bei @andre für die bislang eingebrachte Arbeit und den Aufwand. Allerdings ändere ich dennoch nicht meine Meinung, dass es nicht der richtige Weg ist, die „Hürden“ für iobroker möglichst gegen Null zu bringen. Dazu ist auch iobroker selbst zu komplex. Im Gegensatz zu Ha muss man doch am Anfang mehr Zeit investieren, weil nicht gleich alle Geräte im GUI aufploppen, die so automatisch gefunden wurden. Sind aber auch zwei verschiedene Ansätze. Ich sehe iobroker da professioneller (sicher auch wieder das falsche Wort für irgendjemand). Die Einstiegshürden mögen höher sein, dafür kann ich mit iobroker unendlich mehr machen. Wer in Ha z.B. öfter mal ein Script oder eine Automation erstellt, der wird mir da vermutlich zustimmen.
Beides hat seine Berechtigung, aber direkte Konkurrenz sehe ich nicht, bei der man möglichst viele User ins eigene Boot abziehen müsste. -

Meine Wahrnehmung ist, dass der größte Schaden in dem Moment angerichtet wird, wenn sich der unbedarfte User auf der Kommandozeile bewegt. Schon vor der ioB Installation fängt das mit der Einrichtung des Users an und führt dazu, dass viel mit root gearbeitet wird. Das könnte man z. B. mit einem fertigen Image verhindern.
