                      Wozu? Wo in diesem Thread hast du denn beispielsweise jetzt ein graphisches Tool benötigt?
                      Sind eh alles Kommandozeilenbefehle oder in der Web-Oberfläche/im Browser. Also wozu ein komplettes Desktop-Environment durchschleppen?

                        Versuch uns bitte wirklich zu erklären wozu die grafische Oberfläche denn gerne hättest.

                        Die Eingabeaufforderung (Commandline) erreichts du leicht auch via ssh von jedem (aktuellen) Windows PC aus.

                        Welche Aktionen soll dein Vater auf dem Pi durchführen? (Bin auch schon 65+) 73 ist wirklich kein Alter, aber Linux Grundkenntnisse braucht man halt wenn man am Pi was machen will. Und wenn der "Nebenbei" auch als Webbrowser, Mail Client und ... dienen sollte wirds wohl auch mit nem Pi5 eng.

                        Ich kann heir Thomas nur unterstützen:
                        Backup machen
                        Neue SD rein und neues OS + aktuellen ioBroker installieren
                        Backup einspielen.

                        Wenn du die alte Karte nicht überschreibst und auch die Backups sicherst hast du beliebig viele Versuche wenn was schief geht.

                        UND -da bisher nicht werwähnt

                          @thomas-braun ich benutze das Programm SD Card Copier zur Sicherung für meinen Vater hängt der Monitor und die Maus / Tastatur im Hausanschlussraum dies ist der einzige gemeinsame Raum er kann von dort den Webbrowser öffnen und so z. B in der Homematic etwas schalten außerdem hat er so die Möglichkeit eines Neustarts der Raspberry falls Garnichts mehr geht.

                                  @thomas-braun du musst davon ausgehen das mein Vater nicht mit der ganzen Homematic Steuerung klar kommt er wollte am liebsten das ich alles wieder über Schalter laufen lasse so wie früher. Ich hätte gerne ein Smart Home und er eben nicht.
                                  Es gab schon öfter Probleme mit dem Smart Home deswegen der Monitor für den Reset sonst besteht wieder das Risiko das Probleme mit dem Hammer gelöst werden ist leider schon vorgekommen fand ich nicht so toll.

                                    wie die anderen schon schrieben ist da einiges auch in der Unterkonstruktion krumm.

                                    Kann sein, dass das mit den verwaisten Dateifragmentrn zusammenhängt. Ist aber egal.
                                    Das System muss sauber neu aufgesetzt werden.

                                    Möglich dass du mit einem iobroker Backup noch deine Konfigurationen retten kannst.

                                    piVCCU musst du nach der Anleitung von Alex auf Github neu installieten, aber auch da kannst du ein Backup wiederherstellen.

                                        Den Konflikt bekommst du aber nicht durch einen unnötigen Desktop gelöst.

                                        Da wäre ein ordentlich aufgesetztes und dadurch stabil funktionierendes System wesentlich hilfreicher.
