Hatte eigentlich bei der Vorgänger Version des Adapters das gefühl keine Fehlermeldungen im Log gehabt zu haben nachdem ich den Hub mit ausreichend WLAN versorgt hatte.

Deshalb wollte ich den Test mit der letzten Version nochmal machen.

Die Buttons sind Integer im Harmony-Adapter, da man die Sendezeit eingibt (auf der Fernbedienung gedrückt halten).

Im Prinzip hast du recht, aber….

Abgesehen davon, dass ich es als Priorität sehe erst einmal die eigene ioBroker spezifische Doku fertigzustellen und aktuell zu halten, was ich noch lange nicht geschafft habe, sehe ich es wirklich nicht, dass wir hier (in der Doku) für sämtliche in ioBroker einbindbare Systeme Nachhilfe geben sollten.

Als individuelle Hilfe im Forum ist das etwas anderes.

Nein, ioBroker soll keine Spielwiese nur für Nerds sein, kann es aber 😉

Und wenn man ioBroker als Middleware versteht, die sich selbstverständlich am liebsten spielerisch erschließen sollte.

Aber aus dieser Sichtweise ist Homematic auch nur ein Modul unter vielen. Dass die Meisten User aus dieser Ecke kommen und nicht von Zigbee, KNX oder was auch immer, ist natürlich ein anderer Argumentationspunkt.

Dass es auch mit ioBroker nicht immer einfach ist ein wenn - dann für Otto und Frau Normaluser zu realisieren ist noch ein weiteres Them, dass den Nerdfaktor leider im Moment noch verstärkt.

Mit Szenen, Blockly und demnächst mit ScriptGUI wird das hoffentlich besser.

Ich möchte die Diskussion hier ebenfalls keinesfalls abwürgen, habe aber keinen blassen Schimmer, wo das anfangen und aufhören soll.

Ich möchte gerne auch auf ein Kommando das über Alexa eingeht einen HTTP Request abschicken. Könntest Du vielleicht mal näher erläutern was Du da als ioBroker in Node benutzt hast? Ich will ja kein real existierendes Gerät für das es schon einen Datenpunkt gibt schalten. Dafür muss ich dann wohl zunächst ein virtuelles Gerät mit einem Datenpunkt anlegen und dies als Smarthomegerät einbinden. Wie hast Du das im Detail gelöst?

Ich glaube mittlerweile würde es schneller gehen das System nochmal kompett neu zu installieren :?

ich gebe auch mal meine ganz persönliche Meinung dazu - bitte niemand auf die Füße getreten fühlen.

Abgesehen davon dass die Forumssoftware ohnehin nur 2 Ebenen unterstützt. Ich bin ein strikter Gegner von Überstrukturierung! Und - es stimmt absolut nicht dass noch niemand an Strukturierung gestorben wäre - ich habe schon mehrere Projekte sterben bzw. gar nicht erst leben lernen sehen weil etwas versucht wird in Strukturen zu pressen die nun mal erstens nicht so da sind und zweitens nicht jeder nachvollziehen kann. Ich sage immer: "Es gibt eben nicht nur Schwarz oder Weiß sondern fifty shades of gray dazwischen" 😉 .

Um beim Beispiel Forumsuche nach "hm-rpc" zu bleiben. Natürlich kommen da sehr viele Ergebnisse - das ist ungefähr so als wenn ich im Restaurant zum Kellner sage "Ich möchte ein Getränk bitte". Wenn ich aber zum Kellner sage "Ich möchte einen lieblichen Weißwein aus Italien" wird sich die Auswahl die er mir vorschlägt auf maximal 5 Sorten beschränken - versteht ihr was ich meine?

In welches Unterforum müsste ich denn dann z.B. einen Post einordnen wenn ich in VIS etwas anzeigen möchte wo ich die Sichtbarkeit mit einem in VIS hinterlegten Script steuern möchte welches auf den UpnP-Adapter zugreift und das Ganze aus einem mir momentan nicht bekannten Grund (VIS?, Script?, UpnP?) nicht wie gewünscht funktioniert?

Meine Meinung dazu ist auch ganz klar: In dieses Thema jetzt keine wertvolle Zeit investieren! Ich sehe momentan noch als oberste Priorität die weitere Entwicklung und dabei auch nicht so sehr neue Funktionen sondern die Stabilisierung und das Bugfixing der vorhandenen.

Parallel dazu ist es sicher sehr wichtig die Dokumentation der vorhandenen Funktionen zu verbessern. Das hat zwar für mich persönlich gar keine Priorität, aber ich sehe ein dass es unerläßlich für Neueinsteiger ist leichter und übersichtlicher an Informationen zu kommen als das jetzt der Fall ist.
