Ich benutze eine 64gb USB stick von Intenso mit Usb3.0 und am Raspberry ist er an einen USB3.0 Port angeschlossen
USB Sticks würde ich zum booten nicht empfehlen. Die sind (um Gegensatz zu SSDs) nicht für ständiges zufälliges Lesen und Schreiben gedacht und gehen relativ schnell kaputt.
Hast du denn Stick mal am PC getestet (unbedingt random read / write)? Ist er wirklich so schnell, wie du es dir vorstellst? Und wie ist der Vergleich zur SD Karte?

Ich bin einfach davon ausgegangen das ein USB3.0 Stick definitiv besser und schneller ist als eine Micro SD Karte. Eine SSD wollte ich ich nicht nehmen da sie wieder extra Platz bauch im Gegensatz zu so einen mini USB Stick der ja nahezu Unsichtbar ist.
Was würdest Du/Ihr denn Empfehlen ? -

Ab Zeile 342 schaut das sehr sehr merkwürdig aus. Das riecht für mich nach Trouble mit dem Stick/dessen Dateisystem. Würde mir da eine Alternative suchen. -

Hast Du es mal am USB2 Port versucht? Einige USB-Geräte sollen enorme Störungen verursachen, wenn sie am USB3 Port des RasPi 4 betrieben werden.

Das ist auch eine gute Idee. Die dmesg Meldungen sind mir nicht klar, aber das könnten auch Signalprobleme auf dem Bus sein. -

Habe es jetzt in die USB2.0 Buchse gesteckt und der Fehler wie in Zeile 342 wird nicht mehr angezeigt aber es dauert immer noch lange. Ich werde mal alles Neu aufsetzten vielleicht ist da ja schon was kaputt gegangen. -
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit auf dem Raspberry einen Lese/Schreibgeschwindigkeits Test zu machen ?

Wenn du keine SSD willst, dann nimm eine gute (teure) SD Karte. Ich hatte noch nie Probleme mit der Geschwindigkeit einer Samsung EVO plus 32 GB.

Um die Geschwindigkeit habe ich mir keine Sorgen gemacht, man liest nur viel das Alles besser ist als den Raspberry über die Micro SD zu booten. Ich hatte zwar noch nie Probleme mit der Micro SD Karte aber ich wollte vorsorgen das ich auf die System angewiesen bin. -

Ich hab hier mit hochwertigen microSD-Karten keine Probleme. Wenn man die pfleglich behandelt (aka 'immer sauber Herunterfahren) gibt es da eigentlich aus meiner persönlichen Sicht wenig Trouble. -
Kaum ist die micro SD Karte drinne rennt alles. Habe jetzt erstmal eine normale, günstige SD Karte aber die EVO plus ist bestellt.

Das mit USB3-Sticks und HF-Störungen ist bekannt, auch z.B. an der Fritzbox, deswegen immer ein Verlängerungskabel dazwischenklemmen

erst einmal: nie eine zu kleine Karte wählen, auch wenn die Größe auszureichen scheint.
je Größer die Karte ist, desto besser werden die Schreeibvorgänge wauf die Speicherzellen verteilt, was zu längerer Lebensdauer führt.zweitens: Markenkarten halten im Allgemeinen länger als noName.
Wobei das so aus verschiedenen Gründen leider auch nicht immer gilt. Für die Markenkarten gibt es leider einige billige Nachbauten durch Produktpiraten, und die NoName-"Hesrteller" produzieren nicht selber, sondern kaufen irgendwo zu. Da kann es dann auch gute Chargen geben, andere können schlechter sein.
Ich persönlich habe mit Intenso noch nie Probleme gehabtMeine einzigen zwei defekten, die zwar nicht im laufenden Betrieb versagten, sondern das Verify nach dem Brennen nicht bestanden hatten, waren prompt zwei Sandisk Ultra. Allerdings beide zeitgleich gekauft, so dass dort das zuerst gessagte zutreffen könnte

Es gibt ja mittlerweile die A1, A2 für viele IOs und Betriebssysteme und die endurance Karten fürs Datengrab mit vielen Schreibzyklen. Die sollten besser sein, als das Zeug, welches früher in meinen Raspis verendet ist.
Die sind auch besser als ein USB Stick, ganz besondesr als die kleinen.
Mir ist auch mal ein USB-Sick in meinem unslung NSLU2 verendet. Und der war mit 128MByte riesig dimensioniert. Also für damalige Verhältnisse.
So eine A2 steckt in meinem Smartphone. Aber für das Geld gibt es schon eine ordentliche (und größere) SSD. Und für einen SBC würde ich eine SSD bevorzugen, wenn es irgendwie geht. -

@xX-JONAS-Xx NTFS (und FAT) sind ja auch eher unglücklich als Dateisystem für ein darauf laufendes Linux.
