und IOB möchte gerne das ich Node update, allerdings habe ich ziemlich keine Ahnung davon
bei mir läuft IOB auf einem Synology NAS als Container

soll ich im NAS Terminal updaten oder im IOB
was wäre zu bevorzugen?

Nein. Du nimmst das aktuelle Container-Image und tauschst die Umgebung für den ioBroker aus.

weil man von beiden keine Ahnung hat, ein NAS im Haus war für Datensicherung.....
und so ist eins zum anderen gekommen.....
und irgendwie mit etwas Hilfe von Freunden und viel Lesen ist es dann irgendwann letztes jahr gelaufen.
Aber ich frag lieber bevor ich was kaputt mache oder einen umständlichen Weg gehe.
Mehr als zugeben das ich mich nicht gut auskenne, kann ich nun mal nicht.
Werde aber wahrscheinlich nicht der einzigste sein :confounded:
und ich habe auch keine Lust meine ganzen Daten zu verlieren nur weil ich zu stolz bin zu fragen.

Absolut nicht. Ich bekenne ioBroker selber auf einer Syno unter Docker genutzt zu haben, bin aber davon aber weg weil ich mit Docker prinzipiell irgendwie nicht warm geworden bin.

und ich habe auch keine Lust meine ganzen Daten zu verlieren nur weil ich zu stolz bin zu fragen.

Viele markieren hier den Helden, und machen vieles falsch.

Zum upgraden des Dockers ist zuerst das Backup wichtig, hier am besten einmal mit dem Backitup-Adapter den iobroker sichern auf ein anderes Device oder auf dem Nas in einen anderen Ordner.
Dann stoppst du den Container und kopierst das komplette iobroker-Verzeichnis unter /docker zur Sicherheit

Dann erst die aktuelle Docker-Version mit Node 20 (sollte was mit V10 sein) pullen.

Nutzt du Portainer? Welches Nas? synology?

das hab ich laufen auf FTP gesichert IOB/JAVA/Zigbee hab ich als Sicherung täglich
auch Container exportiert komplett und Einstellungen extra auch skripte exportiert
