Ich glaub zum Thema Backup / Snapshot etc. ist jetzt alles gesagt.
Wenn nicht bitte eigenes Topic öffnen. Das hat mit dem PING Adapter nicht mal am Rande zu tun.

Ping-Adapter 1.7.9 funktioniert.

Evtl. könnte euch das auch weiterhelfen.
