@knopers1 gute Frage, ich schmeiss den 8266 weg und bestelle einen ESP32 für OpenDTU. Ist wahrscheinlich auch das bessere Projekt.

mach das ... ich habe das Teil mit einem ESP32 gebaut.

Danach die 0.5.28 selbst mit PlatformIO kompiliert.

Die letzte DEV 0.5.5 habe ich über die WebUI nachinstalliert. Das Teil läuft gut, meine Garage ist gute 25m von der DTU entfernt. Natürlich ist dort eine Hauswand und die Wand der Garage dazwischen.... Das scheint aber nicht zu stören... Schaue aber, dass die Antennen voneinander etwas getrennt sind. Sie scheinen sich doch irgendwie zu beinnflußen...

Hab alles mal vom Kumpel zusammenlöten lassen, sodass ich es nur noch zusammenstecken musste.
Keine Verbindung.

Lose mit Jumperkabeln verbunden -> Verbindung.

am Anfang habe ich mein ESP32 180 Grad gedreht verbaut gehabt. Die Wlan und die NRF Antenne waren aneinander im Gehäuse drin. Das hat nicht funktioniert! Deshalb mein ESP im Gehäuse anders plaziert, und schon läuft es ohne gelötete Kondensatoren oder ähnliches.... Falls jemand von euch das Teil nachbaueb möchte, lass es mit dem ESP8266.... Das ist es nicht wert. Ein ESP32 mit der langen Antenne läuft super und ohne Abbrüche!

hat mal einer einen Link zum Kauf eines ESP32 der auch mit AhoyDTU kompatibel ist? Ich hab mir hier 2 Stück bestellt die er nicht mag (ESP32-C3).

Das ist schon nen sportlicher Preis. Wenn du die Angebote unter diesem dir anguckst, liegen die Preis bei 6-9 Euro.
Zwar mit zusätzlich Versand, aber den hat der 14,95€ auch noch zusätzlich.

15€ für ESP und Antenne.... plus Versand. Ja, günstig ist es nicht, dafür kamen die Teile echt zügig...
Ich bestelle die Teile sonst aus China für die hälfte, aber die Liefeung dauert ewigkeiten. Da müsst Ihr selbst entscheiden was ihr machen wollt.

In meiner Bastelkiste liegen noch einige, die Versuche ich erst einmal. Von den ESP habe ich 2 bestellt.
Und gestern Abend von meinen vorhandenen Geräten erste einmal eines auseinandergerissen - statt schönem 3D-Druck Gehäuse mit 10cm Kabel umgebaut auf 30cm und möglichst weit auseinander. Mal sehen ob sich die Lage verbessert. Ich habe die letzten Tage 1 erfolgreiche Message auf 20 Fehlversuche gehabt. Da war meine alte Lösung (die liegt hier noch fertig rum) besser

Ich verstehe eure Probleme nicht wirklich. Wenn man die beiden Module wie weiter oben abgebildet

zusammenbaut, funktioniert das 1a - auch ohne Elko, mit ordentlichem Netzteil vorausgesetzt. Zwar nur für eine gewisse Distanz aufgrund der Leiterplattenantenne aber hier ohne nennenswerte Fehlkommunikationen.

@netfriend und bei mir halt nicht. Von meinen NRF-Modulen funktionieren auch ein paar nicht oder schlechter.
Kann auch die Streuung bei der Qualität der Hardware sein, bei meinen ersten Test liefen die Varianten ohne externe Antenne besser als die mit.
Hab gestern auf "mit externe Antenne" umgebaut und nun liefert einer der Wechselrichter gar keine Werte mehr, werden heute Abend wohl wieder umstecken

@kanumouse die alte Büchse war 1 und 2m entfernt (Durch eine Kalksandsteinwand und eine Garagendecke aus Betonbohlen)

Meine mit externer Antenne ist auch gerade 1m und 3m entfernt (andere Seite Wand, Kalksandstein und Klinker). Das mit der externen Antenne hatte noch nie richtig funktioniert, ich vermute ich habe einfach 2 schlechte Versionen eines NRF mit externer Antenne erwischt.

@kanumouse Bei mir sind es ca 7m mit einer Kalksandstein Wand + 20cm Dämmung dazwischen. sowohl die lange, als auch die kurze Antenne geht es bei mir auch ohne Elko problemlos.

Meine mit externer Antenne ist auch gerade 1m und 3m entfernt (andere Seite Wand, Kalksandstein und Klinker). Das mit der externen Antenne hatte noch nie richtig funktioniert, ich vermute ich habe einfach 2 schlechte Versionen eines NRF mit externer Antenne erwischt.

So, gestern hatte ich ein Modul mit externer Antenne dran - das Ding kann in die Tonne, da wurden 3 Pakete erfolgreich empfangen über den Tag.

Hab jetzt einen anderen NRF angesteckt, der hat bisher nur 3 Fehler auf 186 gute
