Dann halt 'zu Fuß' über angepasste Paketquellen. nodejs ist ja natürlich ein eigenständiges Paket, das wird so angelegt wie alles andere halt auch. 'nodejs-update' ist ja nur drumherumgelegt, um es ioBroker-Usern etwas einfacher zu machen.

Auf dem Remote System ist iob selbst nicht installiert. Da geht iob diag also (auch) nicht.

Ok, dann ist das aber ein (eher reines) Problem des Adapters wenn dieser 'irgendwie' mit einer Software die auf dem remote System läuft redet. Ich dachte die hast ne iob master / slave Installation. Deine Frage wird dann wohl am besten der Mainter beantworten können.

Und ohne ioBroker installation wird wohl auch iob nodejs-update nicht funktionieren.

Installier da NEU ein reines 64Bit-System. Du fährst da diesen Mix aus 32Bit-Userland und 64Bit-Kernel.

Das funktioniert nicht richtig gut. Noch dazu ist dein OS abgesoffen:

@mcm1957 Danke. Das lief bisher ganz gut. ich wollte nur nach 1,7 Jahren den Remote-Raspi mal wieder updaten. never update a running system? Wohl doch auch nicht.

Interessant ist die Frage mit der remote-Installation im alten Thread. Damals hatte ich von @crycode eine anderen Link bekommen, als im Adapter angegeben.

Der funkltionierte einen Tag nicht, später dann plötzlich doch. Damit ging es. Nun geht es aber hier wieder nicht. u.a. hatte ich gehofft, ob jemand von einer Aktualisierung dort weiße. Aber das scheint noch alles der alte Zustand zu sein.

Statt dessen habe ich nun a) das nodejs-Problem am Hals und b) die Verbindung zum remote geht gar nicht mehr.

D.H., es geht nicht um ein Backup der gesamten Systems bzw. der gesamten SD-Karte, denn am Ende soll das System ja neu sein, aber die Nutzerdaten weder aufgespielt sein.

Aber es soll auch nicht nur ein Backup von iobroker sein ("iobroker backup"), sonder da gibt es ja sicher im Hintergrund "oberhalb" des OB, aber "unterhalb" von iobroker u.a. weiteres.

Was also muss / kann alles gesichert werden -- /home/pi?

Das weißt du besser als ich. Woher soll ich wissen, was da alles noch zusätzlich läuft und gesichert werden kann.
