Im Grunde genommen klar, aber aus irgendeinem Grund bekomme ich keine Verbindung und folglich auch kein Backup.
Deshalb würd ich ungern mit Y bestätigen. Das könnte die Sache evtl noch komplizierter machen :eyes:

Darf ich fragen wie du gelöst hast?
Ich stehe nämlich auch da. Kann die LED Birne in pairing mode stellen aber so bald ich den Enter drücke und das Program startet ..... dann bleib die Lampe einfach an.

Das Backup hat mich nicht interessiert, da der Chinaserver eh ein Ausschluss für den Gebrauch der Birne war. Hab aber auch noch nicht herausgefunden, wo dieses liegen soll :D.
Was soll denn passieren? Welche Alternative hast du? Selbst wenn es schief geht, sind es paar Euro Schaden. Dabei aber nicht vergessen, dass man sie mit Kabel ja noch zurückholen kann. Wurde mir damals jedenfalls mehrfach bestätigt.

Bei mir sah es damals aber anders aus. Wenn keine Verbindung zustande kam, dann war das durch zahlreiche Versuche dokumentiert. Also die Infos in der Konsole waren ganz andere. Ich würde es dennoch einfach mal wagen.

Kleine Anmerkung noch. Ich hatte damals beim ersten Versuch keine Probleme. Danach hab ich es paar Tage später wiederholen wollen für die restlichen Steckdosen. Es klappte jedoch einfach nicht. Hab danach die SD Karte neu aufgesetzt und danach klappte es auf einmal wieder.

Also vermutlich war es wohl ein Anwenderfehler. Erstens hab ich den flashvorgang und damit auch das Backup nicht als root oder mit rootrechten ausgeführt, dadurch konnte der Ordner oder dessen Inhalt nicht erstellt werden.

Dazu kam, dass die LED nach diesem Vorgang ohne rootrechte einfach dunkel blieb. So konnte ich nicht sehen, ob sie im korrekten "Blink-Modus" war. Man soll da mit 3x Ein/Aus reinkommen. Ich hab mich aber die ganze Zeit auf das VTrust Netzwerk konzentriert, welches immer mal wieder kurz auftauchte. Das scheint aber laut jemandem auf Github ab diesem Zeitpunkt schon komplett egal zu sein.

Irgendwann war ich so genervt, dass ich auf den Taster für den Lichtschalter 7 oder 10 mal Ein/Aus geschaltet habe und ein letztes mal den flashvorgang mit root zu probieren .... #lief ! :)
Hab jetzt 6 Geräte geflashed, aber 5 davon sind schon ein paar Wochen her, hab mich dann wohl nur halbherzig wieder eingelesen (root vergessen).

Stimmt eigentlich, hab ich gar nicht drüber nachgedacht, war so an die Anleitung gebunden und als pflichtbewusster Staatsbürger macht man ja brav seine backups ... :face_with_rolling_eyes:
In der Terminal Ausgabe stand ja auch device ist online, aber anpingen war nicht, immer timeout. Daher dachte ich, dass das Online schon einfach n fester Ausdruck im Script ist. ( Wenn was nicht funktioniert - spinnt man sich manchmal komische Sachen zusammen :man-facepalming: )
Bin recht neu in Sachen Linux, keine Ahnung wie schnell da mal was am Dateisystem kaputt gehen kann.
SD-Karte neu aufsetzen wäre wohl der nächste Schritt gewesen. Aber zum Glück nicht nötig.

Meine Vorgehensweise:

1. alles bis zu Ziele 33 zuerst
2. dann die LED im "Pairing Mode" setzten (3 Mal ein und ausschalten - danach blinkt schnell)
3. auf Enter drücken

Ergebnis:
Led blinkt bis zu Mitte-Ende Zeile 44. Danach bleibt an!

Was soll ich noch tun?

ich glaube der Übersicht halber wäre es besser einen neuen Thread aufzumachen, weil anderes Problem und anderes Produkt. Du hänst wohl einen Schritt vorher fest als ich. Weil die intermediate firmware hatte ich schon drauf, als das Problem auftrat. Von der WB3 weiß ich, dass die sich mittels Tuya-Convert flashen lässt. Hast du nachgeschlagen, ob das mit der WB4 auch der Fall ist?
Bin weit davon entfernt Experte zu sein, aber welche Linux Version läuft auf dem Gerät, auf dem das Script ausgeführt wird?
Im Ordner tuya-convert/scripts findest du *.log files. Da steht so einiges drin, was weiterhelfen kann :)
Pack mal zusammen in nen neuen Thread, evtl findet sich da was.
