Ich habe ein massives Problem mit meinem OPi, dass er in unregelmäßigen Abständen nicht mehr erreichbar ist und alle Prozesse nicht mehr funktionieren.
Ich habe ioBroker + Homematic CCU + pihole drauf und benutze ein Apple 10W Netzteil.

Kann man irgendwie heraus bekommen warum er sich aufhängt?
Irgendwelche Logfiles unter /var/log die man dafür ran ziehen könnte?

Gerade bei Verwendung von pihole ist ein Ausfall sehr bitter, da somit alle Geräte im Netz nicht mehr ins Internet weil alle DNS Anfragen unbeantwortet bleiben.

ich hatte auch bereits zwei mal Probleme mit dem OPI. Jeses mal lad es an dem Netzteil.
Tausche das Netzteil aus bevor Du dich jetzt Tage lang mit der Software umsonst beschäftigst.

Ich denke auch, daß ein 2A Netzteil etwas schwach sein könnte. Je nachdem, was da noch alles am USB hängt, dürfte es bei Volllast eventuell zu Problemen kommen. Schau mal, ab du ein 2,5A oder sogar ein 3A Netzteil bekommst. Kosten ja auch nicht die Welt....
Und die Nutzung des Rundsteckers am OPI ist auch nicht wirklich dolle. Ich habe mein Netzteil direkt am OPI festgelötet.

@TomT ich habe gestern Abend schon ein neues Netzteil mit 18W bestellt.
Habe ja einiges an extra Hardware dran mit Bluetooth USB Stick, Zigbee USB Stick + HM-MOD-RPI-PCB Modul.

Kannst du mir mal ein Foto davon schicken woran du das Netzteil angeschlossen hast?

So sieht es bei mir aus. Die Einspeisung ist direkt unten an den Anschlüssen des barrel jacks angelötet. Parallel dazu habe ich noch einen CerCo 10µF angelötet. Einen slochen CorCo sollte man an solche fetten Anschlüsse nur dann direkt anlöten, wenn keine Kräfte eingeleitet werden und die Temp relativ konstant ist. Ist bei mir gegeben.
So hat das bei mir jahrelang funktioniert. Mittlerweile habe ich ja auf Win 10 Laptop migirert, was auch sehr gut funktioniert.

Habe jetzt ein 18W Netzteil dran von meiner Qi Station und beobachte ob es.
Irgendwann wird dann auch das BlitzWolf 18W Netzteil aus China ankommen für den Dauerbetrieb, hoffe es liegt wirklich nur am Netzteil.

@TDCroPower Mit 18W sollte man durchkommen. Ich habe den ioBroker OPi mit einem 15V 1.6A Neutzeil und einem nachgeschalteten 5V 3A DC-DC-Wandler, der aber eher für 2.3 A gut ist, betrieben. Ein guter 1000µF Elko am DC-DC-Wandler hilft auch.
Allerding betrieb ich nur ioBroker. piVCCU3 hat einen eigenen OPI und pihole betreibe ich gar nicht. Sowas gehört meiner Meinung nach in den Router.

Ich habe natürlich den DNS Eintrag auf den OrangePi zu pi.hole entfernt, aber das sollte wohl weniger die Peeks produziert haben.

Das "offizielle" scheint dieses zu sein https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32811243942.html . Habe das aber nicht.
Mein ioBroker OPi lief jahrelang in einem Becher, in dem vorher Lidl Nudelsalat war. Mit dem Stufenbohrer ein paar Löcher für die Kabel eingeschnitten und ebenso einige 2cm Löcher in den Deckel und mit Fliegengaze gesichert. Das war thermisch hervorragend. Ist aber nicht jedermanns Geschmack.

Mein piVCCU OPi ist in einem Gehäuse Donau Elektronik KGB 15 untergebracht. Gibt es bei Pollin oder Voelkner für ca. 3 EUR. Paßt gut, ist aber thermisch nicht ganz so gut. Wenige Lüftungsschlitze. Aber Ausreichend für piVCCU, zwischen 40 und 50°C.

Als Kühlkörper passen optimal 35mm * 35mm * 14mm oder nach Zuschnitt 40mm * 40mm * 11mm. Wärmeleitpaste zwischen SoC und Kühlkörper und diesen mit Cyanacrylat an den RAMs angeklebt.

ich habe gestern versucht ein sudo apt-get upgrade durchzuführen.
Dieses spuckte nur noch errors raus. Armbian 5.70 Es macht den Eindruck, dass die Update Repos nicht erreichbar sind.

Wird den Armbian 5.70 nicht mehr supported ?

Aber es kam ab und an mal vor, daß die Seite nicht erreichbar war oder sonst ein Fehler auftrat. Ist halt schwierig für solch eine kleine Mannschaft eine solch große Zahl von Derivaten zu supporten.
Einer der Gründe warum ich nun bei Windows bin. Da ist die Mannschaft größer und Fehler werden recht rasch bekannt.

Kann mir jemand sagen, was für IOBroker besse geignet ist?

Armbian Buster oder Armbian Bionic? Früher oder später muß ich es neu aufsetzen....

@knopers1 denke, Buster ist jetzt das aktuelle Debian und damit würde ich es versuchen. Bionic ist Ubuntu, das ja auf Debian aufsetzt.

ich habe gestern den Buster installiert, alle Updates durchgeführt, den neusten js-controller ebenso...
Leider funktionieren einige Adapter nicht wie zB. RFLink, OPI-Adapter... Der Ping Adapter lies sich zwar installieren, arbeitete aber irgendwie nicht zuverlässig. Ehrlicherweise echt ein Krampf das ganze System umzuziehen. Das ganze System eher nicht in dem Zustand zu gebrauchen...

Macht es Sinn Armbian Strech auszuprobieren? Vom Kernel (4.19) sind die Images alle gleich. Es macht den Anschein, dass viele Adapter nicht auf die neueren Images zugeschnitten sind.

@knopers1 Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, war mein ioBroker OPi auch noch auf Jessie. Mein piVCCU OPi und mein NUT OPi sind noch auf stretch. Als ich den NUT OPI komplett neu eingerichtet hatte, wurden nur noch 1GB RAM angezeigt. Keine Ahnung warum. Ob das ein Fehler dieser Version des Stretch Images war? Ich habe es nicht verfolgt, weil für NUT 1GB mehr als ausreicht. Derselbe Rechner lief vorher Monatelang mit einem älteren Image einwandfrei im Testbetrieb.
Was bei den ioBroker Adaptern sein kann: Wenn die neu übersetzt werden müssen, dann passt manchmal was nicht zusammen (Header oder so). Dann zuerst in den Adapter-Einstellungen den Upload-Knopf (Pfeil nach oben) drücken.
Manchmal braucht man nach einem Update auch einen oder mehrere Resets. Das ist bei Windows auch so, aber eben transparenter als bei diesen headless SBC-Linux-Systemchen.

Bei den OPIs habe ich mir angewöhnt, vor den Update erst ein

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

zuerst ein

sudo apt upgrade -s

durchzuführen. Dann wird gelistet, was alles getauscht wird. Manchmal hilfts, manchmal verstehe ich es dennoch nicht.

Nicht zuletzt wegen solcher Probleme bei Linux-Updates bin ich auf einen alten Notebook mit Windows umgezogen. Mehr RAM, Mehr Power, HDD/SSD und kann noch andere 24/7 Applikationen parallel betreiben.
@Stabilostick hat einen Windows Installer geschrieben, der den Umstieg leicht macht. Der Installer wird gepflegt und bei größeren Änderungen nachgezogen. Da ich primär Stabilität aber nicht immer die neueste Neuerung (wie js-controller 2.0) brauche, warte ich dann eben auf die nächste Ausgabe des Installers mit den nächsten großen Änderungen und bekomme wieder ein lauffähiges Gesamtpaket. So war es zumindest bisher. Die alte Installation bleibt weiterhin parallel erhalten, aber deaktiviert. So könnte man bei Problemen wieder in den alten Zustand zurückwechseln.
Und wenn ein Win-Update mal inirgendwelchen Konstellationen Probleme verursacht, kann man auch da wieder auf die alte Version zurück und man findet im Netz immer Info und Hilfe dazu. Das ist einer der Vorteile von solchen Mainstream Lösungen.

alle Upgrades habe ich natürlich gemacht. Den Upload und Neustart auch mehrmals ohne Erfolg versucht.
Es fängst ja schon damit an, dass beim Installieren des RFLink-adapters die angegeben Links die zum Download der seriellen Schnittstele notwendig sind, in leere gehen...? Ich habe zu wenig Ahnung von dem Zeug. Hattest Du mehr Glück mit den Strech Image?
