    Hey guys,
    so my mission is to get Iobroker running on the Pi Zero. I need the Pi Zero because it doesn´t need as much power as th newer pi´s, so other pi´s aren´t an option for me.
    Anyway, maybe i researched wrongly but i can´t get it to work. It always says the nodejs version is to low and when i upgrade it, it says that the hardware is to old. Does anyone know how to walk around this, or is it even possible?

      @Logix You will need an unofficial build of recent node 12. I included it in my guide on node updates and trouble shooting. But it is in german only.

        @Logix
        as I know, the Pi Zero has the same Hardware as the Pi1, an ARMv6 SOC
        for this Version there is no ready-to-use package of the latest node- version available.

        I do not know how, but you have to build it yourself

            what do you think - how much adapters(instances) could run on a piZero ?

            nach einem gelösten Thread wäre es sinnvoll dies in der Überschrift des ersten Posts einzutragen [gelöst]-... Bitte benutzt das Voting rechts unten im Beitrag wenn er euch geholfen hat. @liv-in-sky I don't know. Never had this hardware in use.

                I think it is comparable to the RasPi1 with 500MB RAM.
                so you should need it only for very small installations, e.g. as a slave in a multihost-surrounding.

                  Out of interest I have calculated both types once, pi zero needs about 0.8 watt and the pi4 about 4.6 watt. This means that the pi zero consumes around 3 euros of electricity in one year, the pi 4 around 12 euros. If you now compare the limitations of the Zero with the possibilities of the Pi4, the 9 euros per year are more than sensibly invested.
                  The data i used are from Google, so im sorry if there is a fault in the calculation.

                    @Thomas-Braun I've a Pi Zero first generation installed in my PDU with Node 12, iobroker with smartmeter Adapter and this runs very good. With a USB-Hub who split the Port to LAN and the Optical-Smartmeter-Dongle.

                    But it looks like, that Node12 is the last Version for this platform.. :-(
