Rules RGB Value Not Updated

In the Rules interface I have an interface that accepts an RGB value. The color picker allows me to pick a color, and it updates the representation in the Rules interface to the color (say red, #FF0000). However when I switch to the Javascript, I see #FFFFFF (black) and when I switch back to the Rules interface, it's black in the RGB picker. I've tried saving the script, exporting, editing, reimporting, etc... and it still shows #FFFFFF instead of #FF0000. Any suggestions?
