Neuer ioBroker-Blog online: Monatsrückblick März/April 2026

I am trying to install ioBroker onto a system running macOS Big Sur (11.1). The automated install script (install.sh) seems to have a lot of problems:

1. It tries to execute several HomeBrew commands as root, which is no longer allowed. I was able to overcome this fairly easily but still it ought to be corrected I think.

2. After the install completes some important directories and files, such as:

/usr/local/iobroker/node_modules/iobroker.js-controller/
/usr/local/iobroker/node_modules/iobroker.js-controller/iobroker.js

are not present and it is not obvious where/how to get them.

I assume that I a missing something obvious but having carefully studied the installation script I cannot see how these files are obtained/installed.

Can anyone offer some advice?

@ChrisJ60 node 15 is not recommended, node 12 is.
