MQTT Adapter Gelb; Kommunikation OK

ich weiss, das Thema existierte in ähnlicher Form schon einmal, konnte aber den Thread nicht finden.
Mein Problem (Luxusproblem):
Ich nutze den MQTT- Adapter auf einem Rock 64 zusammen mit einem Client auf einem ESP.
Die Kombination funktionierte sehr lange problemlos.
Seit einiger Zeit habe ich den Effekt das der MQTT- Adapter direkt nach dem Start auf 'Gelb' geht und dort auch bleibt.
Keine Fehleranzeigen.
Die Kommunikation mit meinem Client (ESP8266) funktioniert wunderbar.
D.h. senden und empfangen der Topics ohne Probleme.
Der Adapter zeigt in der Info keine verbundenen Clients an obwohl (s.o.) definitiv ein Client verbunden ist.Das System ist auf aktuellem Stand.
