I would like to move from Raspberry P3 to a computer with more RAM and found in my lab small laptop HP Mini 311 based on 32bit 1.60GHz Intel Atom Processor N270 with 2MB RAM, expendable to 3MB. Thinking about loading it with Linux Mint 19 and then ioBroker. Any comments, suggestions?

Would it be better to use other Linux version, not Mint? I don't see any recommendation for 32-bit Intel platform in the download section.
